Feedback left by people who have bought and used items from Tenkarastuff

From: Paddy Hall – East Riding of Yorkshire, UK

Two parcels from Tenkara Stuff today. A lovely rod case in bamboo, with a neoprene carrier, my 1st step Tenkara ( sizes sent ahead) rod slotted inside perfectly, cork stopper a firm fit and a great fish image burned onto the side. Also a small pot containing 6 John Storey/tenkara crossover flies a Yorkshire chalk stream special. They look great and I cant wait to get them wet!
As usual well packed and Rae’s prompt service make this a ‘go to’ site for tenkara enthusiasts.
Rae is now working on a thumb stick for me which will double as a rod holder for longer stream walks – very exciting.

Hello Rae, I am very happy today because I received the nice items you sent. Yes, I bragged among my fisherman friends. Very well made items. I am completely satisfied. Again, thank you very much. I wish you all the best. Have a nice day.

I bought some of these from you and I just wanted to say how good they are. I caught six brownies on one fly the first day and it still looks as good as new. Thanks and I’ll be back for more, if they ever start to look battered!

    Hello Rae,

The case you made for me arrived today and I just had a chance to open it. A little bit of an issue… The photo you sent looked quite nice, but when I opened the tube it wasn’t quite what I was expecting..

I “should” just say.. “thanks. it’s very nice.” But…

Damn! It’s beautiful!! Sorry.. just taking the piss. LOL Far beyond what I expected. What a beautiful piece! Love the very gradual slight angle in the bottom chamber. It “feels” real which makes the top half all that more beautiful. Love what you did splitting the wave.. and if it was planned or coincidence.. if you follow it through over the “shoreline” it mates perfectly to the upper wave. Almost as if you know my family intimately.

Stunning! Really I couldn’t be more pleased. Beautiful selection. I almost feel as if I’ve taken a bit of an advantage monetarily.

My son and I were looking at the flies. My daughter has pretty much claimed the fly case as her own. The fly cork is a wonderful idea I hadn’t seen before.

I guess it pays to employ an artistic professional.

I can’t thank you enough. It’s well weighted in the hand and practical as well as being an gorgeous example of natural art.

Just the right amount of brandishing.

Can’t thank you enough. My daughter has already asked if you can make a smaller one in pink. LOL Maybe for her birthday.

    Thank you my friend!

Received my 6 John Storey/Tenkara crossover flies and two of the Killer bugs, they look great. John Storey is an old traditional fly much revered on the Yorkshire chalk streams with an unusual forward light mallard as wing over the eye. As a dry fly they are a great late evening fly, catching the breeze and skittering well if you leave a bit of loose tippet to avoid drag. Watched large browns on our gin clear waters coming up from great depths and taking with unusual confidence. Looking forward to investigating the Tenkara equivalent.
Thanks Rae for prompt service and real innovation along traditional lines!

Highly recommended trader, very prompt service, well packed, faultless. My Nano 12 ft rod arrived two days ago and I had a chance to try it for a couple of hours yesterday on my way home from work and thoroughly enjoyed it. Christened it with a tiny Chub and I’m sure that the Trout will follow as I get used to this form of fly fishing. It will fit in my suitcase and travel everywhere that I go to work, giving me opportunities to fish new rivers that my traditional bulky kit doesn’t allowed me to unless pre planned. Raining and windy today so off to the vice to tie some Kebari, once again thanks Rae.
    Best regards
